Wildlife and Habitat Survey Volunteer

The main purpose of the role is to survey the wide range of wildlife (birds, butterflies, small mammals, and flora surveys) at Royal Victoria Country Park and River Hamble Country Park. It is envisaged that animal surveys will take place every year in order to create and maintain an accurate record of the wildlife that resides in the Parks.

Skills

• Basic understanding of species (desirable but not essential as training will be provided) • Interest in wildlife and the natural environment • Moderate level of fitness is desirable • Organisation skills, to be able to keep reliable records of what has been seen. • IT skills for submitting records and keeping in touch.
