Café Assistant

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Volunteer Café volunteer to support the smooth running of Brew & You café, Southampton. The community café provides training and employment opportunities to young people not in education or employment. You will help make the café a great place for customers and a great place for young people to learn new skills. In this role, you will support the café manager in providing a welcoming service to our customers. Main duties will include serving light refreshments, taking money at the till, clearing tables and washing up.

Qualifications: Ideally a food safety qualification at Level 2 Experience: Previous experience in a catering or customer facing environment, ideally kitchen experience Knowledge: Customer service, basic food preparation, some barista knowledge Essential Skills & Competencies: Good customer service, understanding of basic food hygiene Personal Qualities: Friendly, reliable, able to remain calm under pressure and multitask
